Whole 30 Dinner Ideas

What is Whole 30?
Whole 30 is a month long lifestyle change. Some people start out with a month of Whole 30 and then add it into their daily life after that. When doing Whole 30, you would cut out dairy, sugar, grains, legumes, and alcohol. Here is a great resource regarding Whole 30. The way I look at it is Whole 30 is basically eating whole foods that are not processed (or very little processing) for 30 days.
So you started Whole 30, but need a bit of help on where to shop.
Where to shop? Little Bits Of has a whole set of lists of must haves at certain stores. These 4 are stores I shop at: Walmart, Aldi, Costco, and Target. Little Bits Of has a lot more store lists on her blog!
I wanted to share some easy (and healthy) meal ideas that are Whole 30! I will be honest, Whole 30 is not easy for me. Sometimes the kids want mac and cheese and that is grains AND has dairy. BUT We did try these meals and the kids enjoyed them!

A week’s worth of Whole 30 dinner ideas.
Asian Tuna Cakes
So I am not a huge fan of crab cakes (or real crab for that matter.. imitation crab is ok in sushi.. haha) so I was a bit out of my comfort zone trying these Asian Tuna Cakes. But I am SO glad I made them. They are so good! I wouldn’t add salt since their is soy sauce in this. Other than that, these were so yummy! I definitely will be making this again!
Tex Mex Sweet Potato Hash
The perfect Taco Tuesday meal for the family. This had a bit of steps, but I didn’t mind it. I love this dish! The veggies were great, the meat cooked fast, and it all came together pretty fast! It tastes like a taco skillet and I definitely will be making this again on another Taco Tuesday! YUM!
Pineapple BBQ Chicken Meatballs
This is a great dinner option or appetizer! My kids LOVE meatballs so this was a HUGE hit! The kids loved it! I mean who wouldn’t love pineapple BBQ meatballs?! So good and easy to make! My sauce didn’t cook down as much as I thought it would but the pieces of pineapple was fun and delicious! Sorry for the extra steamy picture… haha
BBQ Turkey Sloppy Joes
Growing up, I loved when my mom would make sloppy joes. Since, I try to eat healthier I don’t like to eat the canned sloppy joe mix but I didn’t really know what is in Sloppy Joes. So I was super happy to come across this recipe! Seriously, if you have had Manwich, you NEED to try this recipe. The sloppy joe tastes EXACTLY like Manwich (to me… haha). This is so good! It was fun with the potato slices as the buns too! Even though the kids didn’t care for that but they only like potatoes in french fried form. 100% recommend OH MY GOSH!
Sweet Potato Chicken Sausage Egg Bake
Well at least I warned you. 2 weeks ago I had an amazing quiche and NOW I am obsessed! I subbed broccoli instead of Brussel sprouts because I like them more. Haha. And since this is Whole 30, we did not add the cheese. This is so easy to make, but it does take a bit of chopping, which is fine by me! IT IS SO GOOD! This is the first one I’ve tried without cheese so I am kind of missing the creaminess of the cheese. However the sweet potatoes help with that!
Pulled Tandoori Chicken
If you are a fan of spicy food, this dish is for you! It is so easy to make! I love easy! It was a touch too spicy for me BUT I loved the taste of it! I have never had coconut milk on chicken before so this was new to me and I will say, I enjoyed it! I think if I ate it on a sweet potato the creaminess would be so nice!
Healthy Beef with Broccoli
I love a good (and easy) Asian dish! Beef with broccoli has been my go to since I became healthier. I mean I love a good orange chicken dish, as long as its not fried chicken. Anyway, this beef with broccoli dish is AMAZING and so easy to make! AND IT IS DELICIOUS!
All of these recipes were so good! If you aren’t doing Whole 30, you can still make these recipes but you don’t need to be as strict! 🙂 Which of these Whole 30 recipes would you love to try?

These all sound like great meal ideas… not sure I could survive without cheese for 30 days though, lol!

I am not doing Whole30, but have tried quite a few recipes that go along with the plan. I just made some Hawaiian meatballs last week that look very similar to yours and even my picky boys liked them!

The tuna cakes sound awesome. I think I would also prefer them to crab cakes! Lots of yummy food here!
Yeah, I don’t know what it is about crab cakes but these tuna cakes are great!
I did check out the link on While30 and now understand that it is not a long term change but a way to learn to eat better and figure out sensitivities. I’m vegetarian so my diet is consistently rich in fresh and whole foods. Right now, I’m on a 3 week Daniel Fast and I must say I’m missing my coffee.
Oh wow! 3 weeks without coffee! That would be so hard!
Wow! That really made me so amazed! I love them all and I should try these yummy recipes that could prepare! Thanks for sharing!
They are so good!
It looks very tasty. I will cook it.

I have been really wanting to switch to a whole 30 diet so to speak. My biggest problem is how picky my kids are.
My kids are so pick as well! My son loved the BBQ sloppy joes. They thought the tuna cakes were OK. They LOVED the chicken meatballs! And the beef with broccoli was a huge hit. 🙂
All of this really looks delicious. I know of the Whole 30 diet but haven’t seen many people use it. I will have to try out that tandoori. It looks amazing.
