Christmas is almost here and I am SO EXCITED! Christmas is my favorite holiday (unless you count my birthday as a holiday…).Β One thing I love about Christmas is giving gifts! I love seeing the look on someone’s face when they open the gift they get from me. And hopefully it is a good look… hahaΒ 

So I thought I would give you are the best gift I could give you! AΒ “12 exercises of Christmas” workout!Β WOOHOO!! Can’t say that’s not a bad gift, huh?? πŸ˜‰

 

12 Days of Exercises

The way I have created this workout is just like the “12 days of Christmas” song. So think of that as you are doing these for the next 12 days! Each day, you will do a new exercise and then all the exercises from the day(s) prior. These exercises are great to add to your daily workouts! And on day 12, your total workout will take you LESS THAN 5 Minutes! Yes, I said 5 minutes! And for an added bonus, on Christmas Day, why not do day 12 through 2 times!! You will definitely be feeling the BURN!

12 EXERCISES OF CHRISTMAS



 

The first exercise of Christmas that Amanda gave to me is…

A 30 second plank hold

  • Hold a 30 second plank
    • either high plank with hands on the ground under your shoulders
    • OR low plank on your elbows

Day 1 plank hold

 

The second exercise of Christmas that Amanda gave to me is…

2 push ups

  • First, in high plank position, lower your self down into a push up
    • or start on your knees for a modification
  • Next, pushing through your hands, raise back up
  • Repeat

and a 30 second plank hold.

The third exercise of Christmas that Amanda gave to me is..

3 burpees

  • First, start standing with your feet hip width apart
  • Next, squat back and reach your hands to the ground
  • Then, jump back into high plank position
    • or step back for a modification
  • Then jump your feet back to your hands
    • or step back for modification
  • Next, pushing through your heels, jump up
  • Repeat 2 more times

2 push ups, and a 30 second plank hold

day 3 burpees

 

The fourth exercise of Christmas that Amanda gave to me is…

4 crab walks

  • First, start down on the ground with your hands behind you but pointing towards you, your feet flat on the ground, and your knees bent
  • Then raise your hips off the ground
  • Next, take a step forward with your right foot and left hand
  • Then, take a step forward with your left foot and right hand
  • Then, take a step back with your left foot and right hand
  • Next, take a step back with your right foot and left hand

3 burpees, 2 push ups, and a 30 second plank hold

day 4 crab walks

 

 

The fifth exercise of Christmas that Amanda gave to me is…

5 Tricep Dips

  • First, start down on the ground with your hands behind you but pointing towards you, your feet flat on the ground, and your knees bent
  • Then raise your hips off the ground
  • Next, bending at your elbows, lower down
  • Then, raise back up
  • Repeat 4 more times

4 crab walks, 3 burpees, 2 push ups, and a 30 second plank hold

day 5 tricep dips

 

 

The sixth exercise of Christmas that Amanda gave to me is…

6 mountain climber (each leg)

  • First, start in high plank position with your hands under your shoulders
  • Next, bring your right knee to chest
  • Then, return your right foot back to the floor
  • Switch sides and bring your left knee to chest
  • Then, return your left foot back to the floor
  • Repeat each side 5 more times (a total of 12 mountain climbers, 6 on each side)

5 tricep dips, 4 crab walks, 3 burpees, 2 push ups, and a 30 second plank hold

day 6 mountain climbers

 

 

The seventh exercise of Christmas that Amanda gave to me is…

7 sumo squat jumps

  • First, start standing with your feet wider than hip width and toes pointed outward
  • Then, squat down
  • Next, pushing through your heels, jump up
  • Land through your toes onto your heels into a squat
  • Then, push up through your heels again and jump
  • Repeat 6 times

6 mountain climbers, 5 tricep dips, 4 crab walks, 3 burpees, 2 push ups, and a 30 second plank hold

day 7 sumo squat jumps

 

 

The eighth exercise of Christmas that Amanda gave to me is…

8 curtsy lunges (each leg)

  • First, start with your feet slightly apart
  • Next, step back and at a diagonal to the right with your left foot
  • Then bend at your knees and lower down
  • Pushing through your right heel stand back up
  • Then bring your left foot back to your right
  • Repeat 7 more times
  • Then switch sides and do that side 8 times

7 sumo squat jumps, 6 mountain climbers, 5 tricep dips, 4 crab walks, 3 burpees, 2 push ups, and a 30 second plank hold

day 8 curtsy lunges

 

 

The ninth exercise of Christmas that Amanda gave to me is…

9 crunches

  • First, start laying on the ground on your back
  • Next, lift your legs up to a 90 degree angle bent at the knees
  • Then, with your hands behind your head, crunch up with your abs
  • Lower your back down to the ground
  • Then repeat 8 more times

8 curtsy lunges, 7 sumo squat jumps, 6 mountain climbers, 5 tricep dips, 4 crab walks, 3 burpees, 2 push ups, and a 30 second plank hold

 

day 9 crunches

 

The tenth exercise of Christmas that Amanda gave to me is…

10 reverse lunges (each leg)

  • First, start with your feet slightly apart
  • Next, step back with your left foot and lower down
  • Then, pushing through your right heel, stand back up
  • Repeat 9 more times with that leg
  • Then switch sides and do 10 reps

9 crunches, 8 curtsy lunges, 7 sumo squat jumps, 6 mountain climbers, 5 tricep dips, 4 crab walks, 3 burpees, 2 push ups, and a 30 second plank hold

day 10 reverse lunges

The eleventh exercise of Christmas that Amanda gave to me is…

11 jumping jacks

  • First, start with your hands next to your sides and feet together
  • Then jump up and open your legs and bring your hands above your head
  • Next, land with your feet together and your hands by your side
  • Repeat 10 more times

10 reverse lunges, 9 crunches, 8 curtsy lunges, 7 sumo squat jumps, 6 mountain climbers, 5 tricep dips, 4 crab walks, 3 burpees, 2 push ups, and a 30 second plank hold

day 11 jumping jacks

 

 

The twelfth exercise of Christmas that Amanda gave to me is…

12 Donkey Kicks (each leg)

  • First, start on yourΒ  hands and knees
  • Then lift your left leg behind you and squeezing your glutes lift your bent leg higher
  • After you do 12 pulses, return your leg back down
  • Then switch sides and do 12 pulses of the right leg.

11 jumping jacks, 10 reverse lunges, 9 crunches, 8 curtsy lunges, 7 sumo squat jumps, 6 mountain climbers, 5 tricep dips, 4 crab walks, 3 burpees, 2 push ups, and a 30 second plank hold

day 12 donkey kick pulses
